Umicore recognized as Top Employer for the 18th consecutive time!
Top Employer is a quality mark that the independent Top Employers Institute awards annually. This year, Umicore has received the title of Top Employer in Belgium for the 18th consecutive time. This continuous recognition confirms the efforts that Umicore makes to develop an HR policy that supports employees in a changing environment.
Geert Walschap, HR Director Western and Southern Europe, explains the process of recognition. "The Top Employers Institute is a global authority in certifying employers and their HR practices. To become a Top Employer, you participate in an examination. This consists of several steps, starting with the HR best practices examination, the validation round, and finally the audit. The performance scores of the participating companies are weighed against an international standard."
The Top Employer Institute reviews all information, documents, and processes and poses additional questions. A third, external and independent party ultimately judges the integrity of all data.
"During this research, Umicore has demonstrated that its HR policy meets the high standards that the Top Employer Institute sets in all domains. Not only in terms of leadership and diversity, but also in terms of meaning, core values and attracting talent," says Geert.
