Umicore has been active in the world of metals for 200 years. We evolved from one of the world's largest producers of copper and zinc to a materials technology group that invests heavily in 'materials for a better life'.

Today, we are a global reference in circular materials technology with extensive expertise in materials science, chemistry and metallurgy. We employ around 12,000 people worldwide in more than 60 locations. The Umicore Olen site is one of the largest branches, employs more than 1,000 people and is Umicore's knowledge and expertise centre worldwide.
