We are very proud to announce that Umicore has once again been recognized as a Top Employer in Belgium, for the 19th time in a row! This prestigious certification, awarded by the independent Top Employers Institute, reaffirms our commitment to fostering a supportive People and Organization (P&O) policy that adapts to the evolving needs of our workforce in a constantly changing environment.
In 2023, Umicore rolled out a unified wage policy for our blue-collar and scaled white-collar employees in the Belgian sites at Hoboken, Brussels and Olen. The harmonization and innovation of wages and working conditions across all blue-collar and white-collar staff in these sites represent a significant milestone in our company's history. Our 2nd place in the Blue Collar Community is a recognition by the Top Employer Institute which acknowledges this initiative and recognizes our ongoing commitment to our employees.
Dankwaart Leen, P&O Site Manager Hoboken shares his pride for this recognition. “It underscores our commitment as an employer to continuously shape a culture where every employee can fully develop and build long-term careers no matter who they are. Pieter Chielens, P&O Site Manager Brussels, is proud to make diversity and inclusion a priority every day. “Becoming top employer is not a project, it is something we at Umicore are working on every single day.
