About Information Systems (IS)

Our Corporate Information Systems (IS) Unit is currently close to 200 full time employees, over 10 Teams, located predominantly in Hoboken and Brussels. IS supports 4 core Business Groups (11 individual Business Units) with the IT/OT systems, applications and infrastructure necessary for our complex operations, production and lab environments.

What you will be doing

As SAP Project Leader, you’ll manage multiple medium - large projects (500k - 3mil euro; 500 - 3000 workdays), working with a team of 60 colleagues, and reporting to the Head of Business Applications. You’ll be responsible for delivering projects within scope, timing, and budget to our 4 core Business Groups (11 different Business Units). This position will be located in Umicore Corporate IS in Hoboken (hybrid working) and is open to medior and senior applicants.

Responsibilities

● Employ a deep understanding of business processes and SAP solution design and implementation.

● Independently manage end-to-end multiple projects cross domain across the Business Units

● Coordinate solution implementation with various stakeholders including Business IT Teams, Suppliers, Project Managers, Key Users, Support Teams

Who we are looking for

● Master’s degree or equivalent in experience

● 3-5+ years of experience including as a Project Leader working with SAP solutions (e.g., MMSD, IMWM, PPQM, FICO). S4HANA projects is a plus

● Experience with project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), functional and technical design, and implementation

● Excellent command of English

● Thrives in a service-oriented environment and has a customer-centric approach

● Demonstrates strong analytical skills and the ability to break down complex processes

● Excels at communication, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders

● Is a self-starter and a team player who values collaboration and embraces cultural diversity
