Your role as Senior Investor Relations Manager

As Senior Investor Relations (IR) Manager, you play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Umicore’s investor relations strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of Investor Relations, you will be a key architect of Umicore’s equity narrative and a trusted voice to the financial community.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
• Co-develop the investor relations strategy and translate it into a clear, ambitious roadmap aligned with Umicore’s corporate objectives.
• Lead the execution of high-impact IR initiatives such as shareholder targeting, disclosure analysis, peer benchmarking, investor perception studies, and thematic investor events.
• Equity Story Development
• Collaborate closely with Umicore’s executive leadership to articulate a compelling equity story that reflects the company’s strategic direction, building on the mid-term plan presented at the recent Capital Markets Day.
• Ensure consistent and transparent messaging across all investor touchpoints.
• Market Engagement & Positioning
• Serve as a senior spokesperson for Umicore, fostering strong relationships with analysts, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent Umicore at global investor conferences and roadshows, positioning the company as a forward-looking and responsible investment.
• Financial & Non-Financial Communications
• Lead the creation and delivery of financial communication materials, including earnings releases and investor presentations.
• Support non-financial disclosures, including business and ESG-related communications, in alignment with regulatory and stakeholder expectations and in close collaboration with the internal teams (ESG, Group Comms, Business, Strategy, etc.).
• Intelligence & Insight
• Monitor and analyze market trends, peer performance, shareholder base developments, and sector dynamics.
• Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to Umicore’s senior leadership to inform decision-making and enhance investor engagement.
• Governance & Compliance
• Liaise with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including interactions with the FSMA.
• Maintain high standards of transparency and integrity in all investor communications.
• Stakeholder & Internal Collaboration
• Build and nurture a strong internal network across functions to ensure alignment and timely information flow.
• Actively participate in relevant industry associations and forums to stay ahead of IR best practices and emerging trends.

Requirements:

• 8+ years Proven experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or capital markets, ideally within a listed company or financial institution. Industry experience is a plus.
• Master degree in a business-related discipline
• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business strategies into clear investor messaging.

• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building trust with senior executives and external partners in an international context.
• Deep understanding of financial markets, ESG trends, and regulatory frameworks.

• Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English and are fluent in French and/or Dutch
• Able to analyse a large amount of financial, economic and technical information and translate this information into short, clear and compelling messages
• You take ownership with a hands-on, flexible, and problem-solving mindset, communicate openly as a team player. You are available to travel globally.
