Can you describe your role/position at Umicore?
I work for a battery materials project, which aims to create and characterise dispersions. My role is to improve the current process through internal consultations. At the request of colleagues from other departments, we also apply the expertise acquired from other projects.
What do you like about your job?
I really like the balance between hands-on tasks and deskwork. It is also nice to see that your ideas are taken into account when creating programmes.
What do you like about working at Umicore?
The great colleagues and the fun atmosphere. I also like the challenging work environment. And there’s not much of a routine: every day is different and there are always new issues that need to be solved.
Why did you want to work at Umicore?
I had the chance to do an internship at Umicore, which I really enjoyed. The working process for the Research & Development platform really suited me. And the salary is not too bad, either!

The challenges that the day will bring. No two days are the same, and every day is full of new possibilities and assignments.
