What you will be doing:
As a Functional Analyst for ServiceNow, you will act as the product owner for the ServiceNow platform within Umicore. You will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of change requests, coordinate with suppliers for BAU (Business as Usual) support and development, oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing), ensure robust master data management, drive functional analysis and design, and supervise release updates. You will be the key link between business stakeholders, IT, and external partners, ensuring ServiceNow delivers maximum value to Umicore.
Key Responsibilities;
Product Ownership:
- Serve as the ServiceNow product owner, managing the platform roadmap and backlog in alignment with business priorities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for ServiceNow enhancements, upgrades, and new feature requests
Change Request Management:
- Collect, analyze, and prioritize change requests from business and IT stakeholders.
- Ensure all changes are properly documented, assessed for impact, and processed according to Umicore’s change enablement governance
Supplier & BAU Support Coordination:
- Liaise with external ServiceNow suppliers for BAU support and ongoing development.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests
- Monitor budget and expenditure of the external partner
UAT Testing:
- Organize and coordinate User Acceptance Testing for new features, releases, and changes.
- Develop UAT scenarios, gather feedback, and ensure successful sign-off before production deployment
Master Data Management:
- Oversee the integrity and quality of master data within ServiceNow, ensuring compliance with Umicore’s data governance standards
Functional Analysis & Design:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and ServiceNow solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design, document, and implement enhancements
- Prioritze each request and guide the progress by means of the ServiceNow Agile development module.
Release Management:
- Supervise ServiceNow release cycles, including planning, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
- Ensure all releases are communicated, documented, and aligned with business needs
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within ServiceNow.
- Stay up to date with ServiceNow best practices and new features.
Who we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Functional Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role, preferably with ServiceNow.
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (e.g., Incident, Change, Request, Asset, Knowledge Management).
- Experience with UAT coordination, master data management, and release management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with external suppliers and managing BAU support.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS) are a plus.
- Fluent in English; Dutch or French is an asset.
