What you will be doing
The Sourcing Manager will be managing the day-to-day business related to our sourcing partners and support strategic projects to enable EOM to achieve its high growth ambitions. Reporting to the Director Global Sourcing, you will be part of the EOM Global Sourcing Team and coach one back office staff member.
Detailed responsibilities:
- Manage and grow the day-to-day relationship and off-take agreements with our germanium suppliers.
- Develop new business opportunities in recycling of germanium out of non-customer waste.
- Manage the execution of the commercial agreement of our partnership with our strategic partner in order to ensure a smooth off-take process.
- Together with the process development manager and CRD, contribute to the continued ramp-up of our partner’s production facility to grow the overall output and quality.
- Develop alternative western sourcing options for EOM GASIR materials and manage the relationship with these suppliers
- Support the development of new strategic sourcing projects including feasibility studies in collaboration with the process development manager
- Manage the Global Sourcing back office function
- Manage the S&OP / Budgeting / Forecasting process related to the sourcing function
- Take the lead in developing and implementing compliance projects related to our sourcing activities
- Support other strategic business development projects related to EOM’s diversification strategy and development.
Who we are looking for
An enthusiastic colleague with:
- A Master’s or PhD degree in Business Economics, Science or Engineering
- 2-5 years of prior experience in a techno-commercial or business development role
- Good project management experience
- Teamwork oriented and ability to collaborate across functions
- Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Ability to perform in-depth business assessments and translate into clear recommendations
- Problem solving mindset with strong negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in a multicultural, international setting
- Fluent writing and speaking in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus
