Job Purpose

 

As the "Supply Chain Planning Expert - Longterm and financial planning" your focus will be on strategic planning horizons (such as IBP / S&OP) in a global scope with direct impact on sizable business decisions (e.g. CAPEX investments) and a direct link to the Rechargeable Battery Materials (RBM) middle and senior management. Also you will lead several projects with strategic relevance for the Supply Chain Management domain. 

Your Key Accountabilities

 

Typical scope:

  • S&OP Horizon (high complexity and exposure): mid-term planning, aligning demand, supply, operations, e.g. input for CAPEX roadmap
  • IBP Horizon (high complexity and exposure): strategic long-term planning, linking to RBMs finanical planning
  • Be the main interface to Engineering and Process Technology e.g. for CAPEX files or similar simulation work
  • Projects: leading, linked to assigned planning horizon but also cross-departemental project of strategic importance for the future setup of the SCM domain

 

Typical planning activities:

  • Lead the quarterly forecasting process with regional M&S-teams, local sites, and global Supply team in order to balance the E2E-supply/demand plan
  • Extract sales volume data from M&S, define likelihood for each non-running business project with M&S/AT, and understand planning-relevant info
  • Extract relevant input master data (linked to product/process/technology) from PTE, and understand planning impact.
  • Prepare the global executive S&OP/IBP decision deck and relevant scenarios/assumptions
  • Execute monthly/yearly S&OP/IBP planning simulations, and define optimal global allocation plan. Ensure correct process adherence end-to-end (Sales-commercial to Supply-commercial) 

 

Leading strategic projects in the domain;

  • Be responsible to define and establish global planning standards on process, reporting and KPIs
  • Project lead/Key user for the global implementation of a collaborative (integrated) planning tool as part of the supply chain digitalization
  • Initiate/Contribute to supply network optimization projects
  • Responsible to lead SCM organizational projects on global/regional/local level

 

Furthermore, together with the SCM domain management you will be conceptually working on the overall service offering of the domain and the link to other RBM divisions. Besides the daily execution one of your main task is forward looking and definition/implementation of changes to the planning horizon and/or the domain.

Who we are looking for

 

Requirements;

  • Master degree, in a domain that requires strong analytical thinking
  • 4-7 years work experience in a similar role
  • Engineering education and/or experience
  • Ability to work with a significant amount of data in a complex environment
  • Strong ability to work conceptual, to see the link between activities inside and outside the domain, as well as being able to define workflows and system requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills especially experience in top management reporting
  • English working language is a must
  • International mindset with first experiences abroad and/or in an multicultural work environment
  • IT skills: solid Office skills, SAP/Anaplan and/or other supply chain related tools is a plus

  • Eye for the detail and focus on quality whilst being able to enter in helicopter view
  • Affinity to data collection / analysis. Ability to reason on data results and to identify potential short-comings.

  • Ability to get tasks done in a matrix organization with limited direct reporting lines in the project team
