Neighbourhoud council
Since September 2022, Umicore together with the company Aurubis, have organized a joint neighborhood council in our sites in Olen.
With this council, both companies create an open platform for dialogue. Together with representatives from the relevant surrounding neighborhoods, we discuss what we are working on as companies and promote direct, personal and transparent communication. Topics such as infrastructure and investment projects, mobility and complaints are addressed. The ways to contact Umicore or Aurubis 24/7 via the gatehouse remain unchanged.
As a company, we give great importance to addressing reports quickly and effectively. This is why we ask our neighbors to report issues, including noise or odors, as soon as possible. This allows us to find the cause and implement a solution.
