We invest in sustainable and innovative technologies to recover 17 different metals from electronics and vehicle batteries for infinite reuse. Umicore Hoboken also proactively raises sustainability standards and achieves best-in-class results in air quality, water conservation and noise reduction.
As Umicore’s global center for research and development, our Olen site combines specialized production of cobalt and germanium with cutting-edge pilot lines for next-generation battery materials. The facility powers its operations through an onsite wind farm and works actively with the surrounding communities to minimize environmental impact.
