On Friday, August 18 around 10 p.m., a small fire occurred at the smelter installation at our site in Hoboken. There was no danger to the neighborhood and the surrounding area at any time. No one was injured.
The company fire brigade immediately took action and quickly brought the situation under control. As an extra precaution, it was decided to mobilize the Antwerp fire brigade for inspection. The situation was quickly found to be safe.
The damage to the installation and the cleaning work were limited.
Safety on our site for our employees and for our neighbourhood is always paramount. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
