About Battery Recycling Solutions (BRS)We extract critical materials from end-of-life batteries or production scrap. Our goal is to bring valuable elements back into the battery supply chain. What you will be doingThe BRS business is growing and to enable this growth, as Commercial Manager  you will within the business team of BRS promote, negotiate, develop and sell BRS recycling services with a focus on Producer Responsibility Organizations (PRO’s) in Europe. Securing feedstock and developing off take agreements will be a critical part of journey for BRS to develop its recycling technology and build out its position in the market. You manage offers including tenders and negotiate recycling contracts for rechargeable battery scraps (electric cars, bicycles, mobile phones, ESS etc.). Next to this you are also driven by operational efficiency and improving existing flows and processes.You will further develop your client portfolio by finding new business opportunities, while working together with counterparts at Umicore Battery Cathode Materials to sell a closed loop recycling service to our customers. You actively follow the latest developments, collect market information and transform these data into compelling recycling solutions now and for the future. You provide business and technical support to our customers. You negotiate long term commitments and strategic partnerships. Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relations, prepare offers incl. tender and negotiate recycling contracts with OEMs & PRO’s
  • Track and map customer requirements, developing engagement strategies and execute against this strategy (while continuously adopting to changing market reality)
  •  Account management: follow up on deliveries, volumes, quality of deliveries, forecast intel
  • Business development: Develop new accounts, regions or recycling services (new scrap, new setup), discuss & close LT strategic partnerships
  • Visits to customers, represent BRS at fairs and present on conferences
  • Works closely with the other commercial managers and can temporarily step in when needed

We are looking for

  • Master degree or equivalent, preferably with a technical/chemical background
  • Languages: Fluent in English/Dutch, knowledge of French and/or German is a plus
  • An analytical mind, and skilled in assimilating, synthesizing, documenting and structuring commercial and technical information
  • Relevant working experience of 5 years, preferably in a commercial position
  • Affinity with technical and/or operational/logistic issues is an asset
  • Eager to learn

  • Ability to be persistent and systematic.
