About the Business Young Graduate Program

Our two-year young graduate program will give you the opportunity to learn and build experience in various areas of our organization, such as supply chain, digitalization & IT, sales, communication, HR, etc. You will be able to quickly contribute to our business, benefit from a custom made development plan and will get support from a buddy during the entire program. The program gives you a head start in your professional career.

What you will be doing 

• On day 1 we onboard you with a warm welcome together with all young graduates starting their journey at Umicore. We want you to feel at home and get familiar with our culture.
• Throughout the program you take up ownership over two 1 year projects from A-Z, this in different business domains. From analysis to design over implementation, you are in the lead.
• You put theory into practice and develop your knowledge and skills. You follow formal trainings in project management, communication skills, etc. and get coached on a daily base.
• You connect with different stakeholders at all levels in the organization and build your professional network. You are an ambassador for Umicore, internally and externally.

Who we are looking for

• You obtain your Master’s Degree in Economics, Management, Business Engineering or a related field in 2024 and wants to be part of a global market leader in circular economy.
• You exhibit adaptability and feel at home in a changing environment. Your problem-solving skills help you to tackle obstacles and to come up with fresh ideas.  
• You are curious and have a strong willingness to learn and develop yourself as human and professional. Your open attitude for feedback helps in this growth process.
• You have the guts to take on new challenges and explore opportunities to do things differently. You dare to speak up and share your own thought and ideas.   

What we offer

You will be offered two projects in different business units or sites to develop your professional and interpersonal competencies. You get guidance on the job by experienced Umicore employees and go through a formal training program. After a successful completion of your projects we will assess your development and potential together and find you an appropriate managerial role that is in line with your personality and interests.
