What you will be doing

As Corporate HR Communications Manager you will:

  • Develop and deploy an HR Group-wide internal communications strategy for Umicore employees worldwide
  • Lead internal HR communications strategy development of Umicore, aligned with the Group strategy and Corporate communications strategy
  • Develop & deliver communication projects / change initiatives (e.g. social objectives, cross HR projects) to all sites and business units worldwide
  • Improve the efficiency of the interaction between Corporate HR (communications), Corporate Communications and the communicators of the business units and sites worldwide
  • Serve as communication counselor to HR mgt in significant and sensitive communications challenges and issues
  • Make use of digital communication tools to reach out to all employees worldwide on relevant topics and deploy a strategy to be effective in this
  • Contributing by communication tools and techniques in creating a cultural change in line with the social strategy objectives
  • Be a key player in the global use of our employer brand in HR topics
  • Manage communication in relevant HR topics to external stakeholders (e.g. social media, annual report)
  • Storybuilding on social objectives and relevant HR topics for the annual report

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an engaged entrepreneurial colleague with inclusive and intercultural mindset:

  • Master degree in communication science or equivalent by experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ working experience preferably in an international environment  (production/industrial environment)
  • Ability to interact comfortably with many different stakeholders and on different levels within a matrix organization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing and persuasion skills and digital savvy
  • Sensitivity in dealing with communications
  • Superior project management skills, analytical and solution minded
  • English expert-level language skills, other languages appreciated
